The rumored collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Nigo became a reality when the collection was recently showcased at Paris Fashion Week Menswear.

Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, and Kenzo’s Artistic Director, Nigo, teamed up to create an exciting new collection for LV.

Louis Vuitton x Nigo collaboration

The Japanese streetwear pioneer Nigo (Tomoaki Nagao), best known for founding A Bathing Ape (BAPE) in the 1990s, is now setting his sights on Louis Vuitton’s new collection with Pharrell Williams, the brand’s current creative director.

Nigo brings his signature Japanese street-luxury aesthetic to the brand, redefining menswear for Fall/Winter 2025.

What We Saw on the Runway

Pharrell x Nigos, cool yet surprisingly restrained designs mark a clear departure from their usual style, offering a fresh perspective that many might not have anticipated.

The runway also featured a distinct signature touch in the streetwear clothing, which is characteristic of these two designers.

Signature Looks

Japanese craftsmanship was reflected in denim featuring ripple-like wave patterns, bags crafted from indigo-dyed boro textiles, and finely tailored leather jackets.

Traditional Japanese influences also appeared on the runway, with sleek kimono-style blazers and structured workwear pieces.

The collection strikes a balance between functionality and high fashion.

The runway showcased a mix of modern, functional styles alongside the bold creativity of the designers—from casual looks to a striking pink Damier-print suit and Coogi-style knits.

Key elements of the collection include a range of finely crafted bags, with the "Damier Friendship" series standing out.

This design incorporates silhouettes of Pharrell and Nigo, symbolizing their long history of creative synergy.

Their streetwear touch was seen in bags that were decorated with streetwear aesthetics like metal chains, decorative badges and bold patterns.
