Khaite: Runway Looks for the Trendsetting Woman

Khaite runway at New York fashion week gave us an aesthetic of understated drama, with its darkly lit, powerful show. The unique circular runway gave the show a theatrical feel.

The Khaite Vision
Khaite’s catwalk conveys a woman who is mysterious, independent, and powerful when it comes to her appearance.
Women who know how to stay elegant without being too boring—might be the secret of Khaite's masterpieces.
Power Dressing
Inspired by the film The Two Mrs Carrolls, Khaite's collection embraced the glamour of the 1940s, which was reflected in the runway looks. Was seen in sharp-lined cutting, striking and long coats, and defined waists.
The collection also incorporates modern styling choices such as relaxed suit trousers and a T-shirt with a bold leopard print tube top—combining classic dressing with statement elements.

Color Palette
The runway featured a neutral palette with standout colors of:
- leopard haircalf
- different hues of brown
- pops of red
- deep indigo
Textures & Layering
Khaite's collection played with contrast, balancing heavy, cocooning layers with sleek, structured pieces.
Heavy-looking knits, huge sweater dresses, fringed skirts and dresses, and raw-edged tweeds added depth and drama, while refined wool coats, sharply tailored tops, and cleaner silhouettes created a striking tension between boldness and restraint.

The collection embraces strong fabrics, which is evident in the use of leather in many designs—creating expressive looks that stand out.
Many garments are made from leather and the focus on styling with long, over-the-elbow leather gloves is a key element of the collection.
Fur takes center stage in the jackets, whether as a bold statement or a subtle finishing touch—keeping the looks intriguing and captivating. And fur definitely will be the fall/winter 2025 craze, it has been showcased on runways everywhere.

Standout Accessories
Khaite took its powerful aesthetic to accessories, perfecting the runway looks for a bold and mysterious sophistication.
Styling included newsboy caps and modern, textured bags that added an edge to the designs.
